Little miss photographer

I recently shocked myself because I got behind a camera. For those of you that don't know my Dad has a photography business and has been taking pictures my whole life. He has had a studio off an on growing up and has always done the high school and other sport pictures. I worked at his studio for almost two years and the photographer that worked for him was so talented. I learned so much from her. I'm very critical of photography and was always to scared to get behind a camera because I just knew I wouldn't like how they turned out basically I was afraid of falling.

My cousin really wanted me to do her senior pictures so I thought ok fine I will try. I'm so glad I did because I realized I actually can take a decent photo. Now please understand that I know I'm not the best photographer nor will I pretend to be but it's a work in progress. I was asked to do another senior and I had a lot of fun shooting it. I hope I will have the opportunity to do more because it's a good creative release for me and the extra money also is a plus.

Bunco Time!!

It was Bunco time again and I had it at my house this time. It was a week before Halloween so we did halloween treats and prizes. Janessa's family owns Real Deals so she helped me get the cutest halloween decor prizes. It's so fun to get together with these ladies every month.

High School Memories

I can't tell you how much I love these girls. We were such good friends in high school and since then haven't seen each other a lot. We all have busy lives but we managed to find an evening for dinner and I'm so glad we did. I hope we will be seeing a lot more of each other in the future.

Heber Trip

Last month we took a trip to Heber, UT with our friends and stayed that this house that was incredible. Our friends the Panniers have some various generous friends that let us stay at their vacation home. It was fun to get away enjoy some new scenery, good shopping and yummy food. We always have so much fun with our friends and they are still our friends despite our imperfections.
Friday night we ate a delicious dinner and played games. I'm pretty sure we all laughed until we felt sick. I'm definitely in love with this couch.

Saturday morning the girls headed out for lots of outlet mall shopping in Park City.

In the afternoon Charish and I went to the Thriller Dance show by Odyssey. It was amazing I'm so glad we went it was even better than the first time I saw them and we had great seats.

While Charish and I were at the show everyone else went to the Alpine Slides

Hubbards, Funks, Bringhursts, Panniers, and Wards

Sunday we lounged around and decided to go take a walk for some exercise. We drove way up into the mountains to Cascade Springs. It was really pretty and the weather was so nice.

My Dream Job

A couple days before my birthday I heard the best news ever. I got a new job, a permanent one at that. All summer long I looked for a job and had no luck. I was either under qualified or over qualified or it was just a job I didn't really want. I got so frustrated because I worked so hard for my degree to find out there aren't any jobs that apply to marketing available and that I would probably end up making $10 an hour. I had hoped the reason I wasn't finding a job was because the right job hadn't come yet. I had been out of work for a couple of weeks and things we were starting to get financially stressed when I landed my dream job.

I am the new Catering Manager at Holiday Inn. This job fits me in so many ways I know it was meant to be. The Holiday Inn has multiple events everyday in their meeting rooms. Our events can be as large as 300 people for a banquet. Until I had this job I didn't realize how much work it takes behind the scenes to pull off large events like that. My job is to put together all the details for all the events and provide instruction to all the kitchen staff that prepare the food and all the banquet staff that makes the event happen. I'm also in charge of selling the meeting rooms so I do a lot of networking in the community.

Previous to this job I would have said my dream job would be to be in charge of all marketing for a large company but this job has changed my mind. I love everything about the job and there is honestly nothing I don't like therefore I would call this my dream job. Every morning I'm excited to go to work and when 5 rolls around I can't believe the day is already over. Multiple times throughout the day I am thankful for opportunity I have to do this job I will never take it for granted.

One of the best parts about this job is the people I work with. Surprisingly all the management is very young and they are really fun people. It is a very positive environment and everyones job is appreciated and valued.

We all needed new head shots for our website so we went to my dads office one afternoon and while we were there we took a group picture. It really isn't a good picture it doesn't do justice for how beautiful these girls are.

Extreme Favorites

I hope you all watched Extreme Makeover Home Edition!!! I thought it was so fun to see Pocatello on TV and I'm so happy for this family. The day after the reveal my dads office was asked to do photos for them and I of course went as an assistant. Jerry did such a great job on the photos he really captured the beauty of the house. Here is a look at my favorite rooms.

I love the simplicity of this room

I thought this concept was really cool. My kind of camping!!
My favorite room I would have loved this room growing up.
Note: My dads office made the headboard

I love all the kids photos lined up on the wall

The navy tiles are to die for

I know this is a weird thing to love but I like the heavy drapes that line the room

While we were taking photos Paulie was jamming for us.
