Once upon a Mattress

This week Brett and I went to see CHS's musical Once Upon A Mattress. Brett's brother Andrew had a lead role in it and did amazing. I'm not just saying that either I was so impressed that kid has got some talent. I would have to say it was the best High School Musical I've ever seen produced. Everybody was so good and the play was absolutely hysterical. I hope some of you got to see it because it was great. Way to go Andrew!

Easter

So this is a little late but the beginning of my week has been nothing less than crazy. We had such a wonderful Easter. It was our first Easter being married I love experiencing all these firsts. I'm one for tradition and have a hard time breaking tradition. I've always gotten an easter basket since I was little and didn't feel like just because I was married I shouldn't have one. I found these cute baskets a while back for cheap and said why not. I got a new shirt and new watch band for my bumbles watch. Brett got a new driver and socks.

After church we went to visit Brett's family then we went to my families house for dinner and it was amazing. The whole spread was there my mom is such an amazing cook. Some of my dads relatives came over and it was so nice to visit with them. More than doing the traditional Easter Bunny thing I enjoyed spending time with family and celebrating my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that my Savior was Resurrected and through that we all have the opportunity to be perfected and live in his presence. I'm grateful that I have this testimony and I have the gospel in my life.

YAY!!! New job

I just have to say I'm so proud of Brett. He has been searching for a better job for a while and it's been depressing and discouraging. There isn't much out there and especially one that can work around his school schedule. He applied for a position at the Hospital in admissions. He figured it would be a good way to get his foot in the door because he plans on going to medical school. He got the job offer yesterday and we were both so ecstatic. He is getting sick of food and can't wait to start this new job. He might still keep a few shifts at Ruby Tuesdays, which will be handy for the discount. I think this job is a really good fit for him and will provide him with a lot of opportunities. He is hoping he will work a lot in the ER. He loves that fast paced drama and learning about medicine. Good job Babe! I'm so excited for you!

Frat Brother!!!

I'm now a Brother of the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity. It's a new experience being called brother. Don't worry I'm not doing kegs or crazy initiation. It's a professional business fraternity, no alcohol or hazing is allowed. It's a big long process to be inducted into the group. I had to do a fundraiser, professional event, service project, an exam, an interview, and put forth the bucks. This week I was initiated which consisted of a ceremony. It's been a lot of time that I don't really have but I think it will really pay off. The fraternity brothers have the opportunity to meet so many business professionals in idaho. In fact the president this year was offered a job from the Idaho Business leader of the Year. We had elections this week and I ran for VP of professional events and IBLOY (idaho business leader of the year) chair. I was emailed the elections results and those two positions weren't listed. I later found out that I was elected for both positions. I excepted the position of IBLOY chair. It made me feel so good that everyone has that much faith in me. I'm nervous because it's a huge event to plan but I have a good group of people to help me. It's fun belonging to a group and I hope I will gain a lot from this experience.

I'm So Spoiled

My Husband is too good to me. He let me spurge Saturday and buy 5 new pairs of shoes. I absolutely love shoes but can never find any I like and I hate paying a lot of money. So on Saturday Shoe Carnival was having a family discount for the employees. My good friend Ashley works there and we're practically sisters so she hooked me up with 40% off. I love a good deal and went crazy. I hate working most days but these days that I get to treat myself make it seem not so bad. I took one of my dads cameras and was messing around with it to hopefully get better at photography and needed some subjects.

Probably my favorite pair
I call these my Gladiator shoes

Comfortable is always a good option

Best Husband in the World

When I came home from work today I walked in the door and found this. Brett wrote a cute love note and taped it up in each room. It really made me smile. I love my husband and the cute little things he does. Brett knew I was having a rough day and it meant to much to me that he wanted to cheer me up. LoVE yOu BaBe!!!
