Bryce and Beki

September was a very busy month for us with weddings. We had 4 weddings in three weeks a little crazy but awesome that I got to see my cousins so much! I love my dads family so much and wouldn't trade any of them for the world!

My Grandpa Stuart's name was Albert and this is his sister Alberta haha! The most hilarious part was their mom didn't even know the names were similar and no they weren't twins. We call her Betty White haha! She is the cutest and sweetest old lady I want to be like her!

Surfing

We finally got to try surfing and now I'm addicted. It's so much fun being able to carve into the wake without having to use a rope it's just you. It took me a couple times but I started to catch on. I can't wait to try it again and get better.

We spent all day out on the boat with lots of friends. The girls took a ride on the monster tube. I was having a hard time finding a spot to sit so I sat on the back which was ok until I landed on top of everyone haha!

Brett loved surfing! He didn't have as big of a wake that I did but he was getting the hang of it.

Discovery Flight

My boss was so nice and gave me a gift certificate for a Discovery Flight at the AV center. One person gets to fly the plane and the other sits in the back. I wanted to let Brett do it because I knew it would be something that he would love. I was a little bummed at first that I wouldn't get to, but now that I've done it I'm glad Brett did it. I didn't understand how much control they would give you and that would totally freak me out. Brett loved it! He basically did everything but land the plane and adjusting the controls. Our pilot was so nice and made it a really fun experience. I would highly highly recommend doing it!

Brett decided to fly from the co-pilot seat which I was totally ok with, but they will let you fly from the pilot seat. So crazy for someone that has never done it before they assured me it was safe.

American Falls Reservoir. I couldn't believe how full the reservoir is the water extended way beyond the large body of water. It looked like a tropical marsh.

I have flown in big planes a lot but never get to see this perspective. I won't lie I was a little scared of landing in this tiny plane. When your approaching the strip it seems like you are going so fast but the pilot gave us a smooth landing.

It was such a blast I can't wait to do it again. Now Brett is bugging me about getting his pilot license like we have a need for it or something. I think we will stick to discovery flights for now.

Our life is crazy but we love it!

Life has been so crazy lately and the poor blog is suffering. Brett worked all summer as an intern with the administration at PMC while working his regular job at PMC in the evening. He basically spent every day all day at the hospital. I heard very little complaining from him and he loved his internship. The crazy kid was even sad to stop doing it. The admirable thing about Brett is he loves helping people whether or not he is getting paid or there is something in it for him.

Brett was heavily involved with the Cancer Center grand opening and I was able to be there and see what great efforts he put in. Prior to the grand opening he sang the National Anthem at the home town heros event at the hospital. It was a very prestigious event attended by many well known people in Idaho including senator Crapo. You can watch the video below of Brett singing. It was a very busy and eventful day for sure!!

The marketing department took him to lunch last week to say thank you and coined him the best intern of the year. Every person I talked to raved about how much they love him and enjoyed having his help. I'm so very proud of him and all his hard work!

Brett is now back in school for his last semester yahoo!!! I thought things would slow down after school started but I think it's the opposite. We have had many weddings, and family trips that have kept us busy but fortunately we have been able to do most of it together.

We went boating the evening that there was a really big fire in Pocatello and it made for the craziest sunset. It was way too cold for me to get in but never to cold for Brett. If I haven't bragged about him enough I think he is pretty handsome too!!!
